Singer Chris Richardson was a finalist on Season 6 of “American Idol”, making it all the way to the top 6. Now, over two years later, he’s inked a new record deal and will drop his debut in May … via Cash Money Records.
He appeared on Tyga’s single “Far Away” last year, and now, he recently revealed that he’s signed to the YMCMB roster.
Via a video from Derick G, Birdman and Richardson discuss his addition to the label, and his upcoming debut.
“I think he’s a special talent. He’s definitely a sensational artist on our brand, YMCMB,” Birdman says in the clip.
Richardson and Birdman revealed that his debut will drop in May. “I’m really, really family oriented so just having the camaraderie of everybody at this label is something so special. I can’t really explain it, but it definitely is inspiring.”
